Raymond Reserve Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Raymond Reserve Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is made from the grapes from Raymond organic and Biodynamic vineyards in Rutherford, as well as select vineyards on the hillsides of Napa, with the balance coming from the heart of Napa Valley, California. The wine spent an average of 48 days on skins before aging 19 months in 100% French oak, of which 38% was new French oak from Demptos, Seguin Moreau, Ermitage, and Taransaud. The final blend includes small amounts of Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, and Petite Sirah for added depth and complexity. The wine was bottled unfiltered, contributing more excellent texture and presence to the mid palate.

The Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon tempts the palate with inviting aromas of currants and dark spices that mingle with fresh blueberry and raspberry. Toasted wood and fruit compote enhance the round and plush introduction, producing a velvety mouthfeel that coats the palate. The wine has a dense flavor profile with notes of dark cherry fruits and spices that last long.
